“CSR Conundrum: Backyard philanthropy or solving systemic ills of society?”

Corporate Social Responsibility is a management concept where companies integrate social and environmental concerns in their business operations. Company tries to achieve a balance of economic, environmental and social imperatives through CSR. It increases the reputation of the company and enhances its brand value. 
It is not a backyard philanthropy, it is an attempt, which is taken by companies to solve problems of our society.
